Rwanda: Music Divas to Grace Jungle Party

As we get cozy in December, we can be assured it's not just Christmas to look forward to but a real festive season! This December, Show Time events are giving us more than Christmas, they are giving us divas!

Regional music divas will be the main entertainers at this year's Jungle Party slated for December 22 at the Kivu Serena Hotel.

Our very own, Knowless Butera and Young Grace, will lead the pack that will comprise of Keko, Lillian, Cindy and Jackie Chandiru. This will be Keko's first time in Rwanda while the other divas have all been here before.

"Every year, the Jungle Party comes with something new. This year we are focusing on the best lady musicians from the region because they have put in a lot of time and effort to get themselves to where they are today. We want to show the audience the power of female music," explained Davies Genza, CEO of Show Time events, the organisers of Jungle Party.

Genza also hinted on the fact that such events help in promoting local female artistes, bringing them closer to their counterparts from the region who have made it internationally.

"If Young Grace and Keko exchanged tips about their music, Knowless and Lillian or Cindy would also do the same. Our goal is to promote music by recognising the efforts put in by these ladies."

Apart from the lady musicians, Show Time Events is also bringing in the best female DJs from the region - names will be confirmed soon.

The party, dubbed 'X-Mas Jungle Party' will, as usual, go for Rwf 10,000 and starts at 9pm till dawn. Serena Hotel and Mutzig are the sponsors.
