Egypt: Local, Int'l Groups Allowed to Follow Up Constitutional Referendum

The Egyptian Higher Election Commission said Friday 14/12/2012 that it has decided to allow all local and international civil society organizations to follow up the constitutional referendum, which will be conducted in two phases on Dec 15 and 22.

The panel decided to extend the validity of all permits issued during the previous elections for following up the referendum, a statement said.

Members of organizations that did not have permits can introduce themselves to the heads of stations they want to follow up, it added.
