Final ballot results show that in Sohag 78.8 percent (469, 493 people) voted for the new draft constitution while 21.1 percent (126, 836) have voted against it.
The total number of votes was 609, 681, with 596329 valid and 13, 352 invalid.
The first round of a referendum on a draft constitution written by an Islamist-dominated assembly kicked off on Saturday while the second round is scheduled for December 22.
