Uganda: Shilling to Remain Stable

The Uganda shilling appreciated against the US dollar closing the week at 2,660/70 from 2,690/00 last week with some moderate interest by offshore investors buying Ugandan risky assets and seasonal flows increasing supply in the market.

With policy makers having maintained their stance to have low interest rates, investors rushed again into the debt market leading decent offers in the foreign exchange market.
