Angola: 2013 Budget Draft Submitted to Parliament

Luanda — The State's General Budget Draft for the year 2013, estimated at 6.6 trillion kwanzas, was submitted this Friday to the National Assembly (Parliament), after having been approved at the first extraordinary session of the Cabinet Council, last Tuesday.

On a communiqué divulged in the end of Tuesday's meeting it is stated that the State Budget for 2013 is designed to secure conditions of stability and efficacy of the economy, through the control of inflation, exchange, stability and regulation of the financial sector and saves a great share of the resources available for the improvement of the populations' living.

It is also intended to guarantee the national stability and security, the socio-economic development, increase of job and citizens' revenues, valorisation of the family and balanced development of the national territory.

On the occasion, the Finance minister, Carlos Alberto Lopes, said that the State's General Budget for the year 2013 is in line with the premises outlined in the National Development Plan for 2013-2017.
