Two men in Kyuso district have been shot dead by unknown assailants. The two were killed at 6pm on Jamhuri Day. Kyuso DC Peter Maina said the men were shot dead at Mandongoi trading centre.

"The two were shot dead by four men who were armed with guns. The men stole money and goods of unknown value in the shops and ran away leaving the two in a pool of blood," he said.

Another man was shot dead under mysterious circumstances at another shopping centre in Kyuso. Maina said police have launched investigation on the aggressors and urged members of the public to give information that will lead to the arrest of the killers. The bodies of the two were taken to the Mwingi District Hospital mortuary for postmortem.
