Kenya: 'Post - High School' Certificate Wounds Ego of Teso Leader

A 57-year-old Teso civic leader yesterday said he recently acquired a post-secondary school "certificate" in form of a letter of recommendation from his former employer -- BAT.

Malaba Town Council vice chairman Ishmael Orodi said the disclosure although embarrassing to him, is a message to the youth that with determination anything is possible in life.

"When I graduated recently at 57 years with 'undisclosed certificate', it was a challenge to the youth that anything is possible in life," he said.

Orodi was speaking during a thanksgiving ceremony for Turkana county director Nicodemus Ojuma Anyang, who recently graduated with Phd.
