Kenya: Nyuki Sting Samba Boys to Win Okoth Obado Cup Title

Nyuki FC from Muhuru Bay division in Nyatike district yesterday beat Samba Boys 3-0 on post match penalties after a barren draw in normal time to win the Okoth Obado soccer tournament.

Nyuki's keeper David Oloo carried the day, saving all penalties from Samba Boys. Cissino Kijana, Jack Oria and Victor Otieno converted for Nyuki in a match officiated by referee Grace Atieno.

Nyuki FC thrashed Lake Side FC 4-3 in a penalty shoot outs while Samba Boys came from behind twice to beat Migingo FC 4-2 during their respective semis. In the women's football final, Migingo emerged winners after beating Kibro FC 1-0.

Hellen Ogu scored the lone goal for the winners. Earlier in the semis, Migingo beat Widows 3-2 while Kibro edged Lake Side 1-0. The tournament attracted 14 teams. Winners received a set of uniforms with all participating teams getting a ball each.
