Kenya: Stars Licked in Bujumbura

Christophe Nduwarugira netted the crucial goal as Burundi took a 1-0 lead over Harambee Stars in the first leg of their Africa Home Nations Championships clash in Bujumbura.

The LLB Académic Bujumbura midfielder pounced in the 28th minute to score the deciding goal ahead of the second leg that will be played in Nairobi on January 5.

Kenya dominated possesion without making premium in the opponents box with the team needing to score at least twice at home to progress to the next stage.

Stars assistant coach, James Nandwa, was in charge of the match with Football Kenya Federation (FKF) deciding to put him in charge of the second tier continental competition with Frenchman Henri Michel slated to concentrate on World Cup qualification.
