Egypt: Islamic Jama'a Says Facebook Shut Down Group's Pages

Facebook administration has shut down the official page of the Islamic Jama'a's Shura Council, the Jama'a said on Saturday.

The group mentioned that the social media website's administration also shut down the page of the Jama'a's media office director as well.

The group accused the website's administration of racism, adding that Facebook "intentionally removes pages with Islamist content" on grounds that they "violate Facebook's rules".

Aswat Masriya was unable to access the Jama'a's Facebook page.
