Nigeria: Helicopter Crash - Navy Recovers Yakowa, Azazi Bodies

The Nigerian Navy have recovered the bodies of the six people that were killed in Sartuday's helicopter crash in Bayelsa including that of the former National Security Adviser (NSA) to President Goodluck Jonathan and Governor Patrick Yakowa of Kaduna.

This was confirmed in a statement signed Sunday by Naval Director of Information, Commodore Kabiru Aliyu disclosing that the bodies of the victims of Navy Augusta Helicopter that crashed around 3.30pm in Bayelsa have been recovered.

Aliyu said that the search and rescue operation combined team of personnel from Joint Task Force (OPS PULO SHIELD), Nigerian Navy, Nigerian Air Force, NEMA and Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps were able to recover the victims bodies.
