Egypt: Third Round of National Dialogue Starts at Presidential Headquarters

The third round of national dialogue started Thursday 13/12/2012 at the presidential palace under the aegis of President Mohamed Morsi, the presidential spokesman said.

Presidential Adviser Mahmoud Mekki chairs the round of talks that will focus on suggested constitutional amendments and candidacy standards to govern the coming Shura Council elections, Yasser Ali said.

The presidency is keen on keeping in touch with all political powers to defuse the current crisis.

Despite mass demonstrations gripping Egypt over the controversial draft constitution, Egyptian expats started voting Wednesday in the referendum on the constitution.

The referendum will start in Egypt on Saturday.
