Gambia: Technical Coaching Course for Boxing Kicks Off

A 10-day intensive Technical Coaching Course for the Gambia Boxing level I coaches kicked off on Wednesday.

The course is organised by the Gambia National Olympic Committee (GNOC), in collaboration with the Gambia Boxing Association (GBA).

The course will run from 12 to 22 December 2012 at the FIFA Gold Project, Yundum. Mr Abdallah Halabi from Lebanon is the AIBA expert conducting the course.

Twenty participants from the GBA including a female are currently attending the course.

This will be the second course organised for boxing coaches in the country to enhance their coaching ability.

The opening ceremony was attended by Momodou Dibba, president of the GNOC and Beatrice Allen, first vice president of the GNOC and IOC member.

The two GNOC officials spoke at length at the opening ceremony of the workshop.
