Yola — During a civic reception organized in Numan town to conclude the traditional coronation process, the monarch assured communities in the area that under his reign, the principle of togetherness and mutual cohesion would be entrenched.
"We must learn to embrace our neighbours for peace to reign," he said.
Homun Stephen stressed the need for Nigerians to be tolerant and live in peace with one another, irrespective of their political, religious and tribal affiliations.
"Peace and unity are veritable tools for national development; we should strive to maintain it for the nation to move forward," he said.
The monarch said for the nation to enjoy peace, the people must learn to love one another and shun all forms of violence. The new Hamma Bachama replaces Homun Asaph Zadok, who died in June after about eight years on the throne.
