Egypt: NCHR - 24,000 Permits Issued to NGOs to Monitor Referendum

The National Council for Human Rights (NCHR) said it is not imposing guardianship on civil society and non-governmental organizations interested in monitoring the referendum to be held on Saturday and on December 22.

The NCHR has already obtained 24,000 permits for a number of civil society organizations in the country to monitor the referendum.

In a press release Thursday 13/12/2012, NCHR, which acts as a link between NGOs and the Supreme Judicial Elections Commission, expressed its keenness to help all civil society organizations interested in observing the referendum.
