Egypt: Ambassador - U.S. Keen to Back Nation's Economy

The US is keen to support the Egyptian economy through a number of projects and initiatives, such as the Egyptian-US fund for SMEs, said US Ambassador to Egypt Anne Patterson.

The US launched a partnership and investment initiative to promote trade exchange with the Middle East and North Africa region, Patterson said during the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Industrial Training Council (ITC) and the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) on Thursday 13/12/2012.

The US also contributes to educational and training programs to qualify cadres for the labor market, she said.
