Angola: Ambassador Thanks for Angolans Training

Kiev — Angola's ambassador to Ukraine, Joaquim Augusto de Lemos, on Friday thanked this European country for its support in the training of young Angolans.

The Angolan diplomat said so whilst speaking at the tradition meeting between the Ukrainian President Viktor Ianukovitch and the heads of diplomatic missions and representatives of foreign countries and of international organisations accredited to Ukraine.

Joaquim Augusto de Lemos stressed that due to the challenges being faced by Angola in the sectors of construction and reconstruction of infrastructures, it still needs the contribution of experts for progress.

During the ceremony, held at the Presidential Palace, the Angolan diplomat quoted the work being done in the country in the framework of the development of infrastructures, education, health, agriculture and in the technical-professional education.

He added that Angola continues open to a mutually advantageous cooperation partnership in diversified areas, taking into account the government's long-term Strategic Development Plan.

Accompanied by his wife, Teresa de Fátima Lemos, the ambassador offered an Angolan wooden statue to the Ukrainian President.
