Egypt: Expanded Coordinating Meeting to Boost Cooperation With Algeria

Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab Maghreb and Libya Affairs Youssef Ahmed el-Sharkawy held an expanded coordinating meeting with representatives of national authorities, industry unions, construction companies and businessmen concerned with cooperating with Algeria.

The meeting will tackle fostering bilateral cooperation in the fields of politics, economy and investment.

This meeting is being held under the sponsorship of Prime Minister Hisham Qandil, who visited Algeria recently, and Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr.

Algeria is the number one destination for Egyptian investors.

Egypt has invested some 6 billion dollars in upgrading infrastructure and technology in Algeria.
