Angola: Sub-Marine Cable Launched Friday

Luanda — The Angola-Brazil sub-marine cable and the Hub African telecommunication projects were launched on Friday by the Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technologies, José Carvalho da Rocha.

Angonap represents the central point of the Angola Cables network, in which the national operators may access to international linking.

It is a data centre, built with the necessary requisites of the telecommunications market, such as located in a point of difficult access and noble one of Luanda city.

The installation of this cable is set for May 2014 and will start functioning late that year.
