Angola: Pedro Neto Re-Elected Football Federation Chairman

Luanda — The candidate standing for the only list contesting for the chair of the Angolan Football Federation (FAF), Pedro Neto, was re-elected on Saturday in Luanda with 122 votes for one more four-year term from (2012/2016).

Luanda has had a very poor participation in the voting as of the 21 voters expected, only 11 voted. Cabinda province also has had a poor participation. Only six associates voted, out of 16 expected.

The results are as follows Bengo (3), Benguela (11), Bié (6), Cabinda (6), Cunene (7), Huambo (8), Huila (9), Kwanza Norte (7), Kwanza Sul (6), Kwando Kubango (5), Luanda (11), Lunda Norte (7), Lunda Sul (6), Malanje (4), Moxico (11), Namibe (5), Uíge (7) and Zaire (3). There was a total of 157 voters.

However, the official results will be released on December 18 in Luanda. The electoral commission is headed by Domingos Torres, while António da Luz is the secretary general.

Pedro Neto will be assisted by Osvaldo Saturnino "Jesus", and José Cardoso de Lima will be the secretary general.
