Dr. Tedros Adhanom, Minister of Foreign Affairs, hosted a reception for members of the diplomatic community on Friday (December 14th) at the Sheraton Hotel in Addis Ababa. The reception was to introduce the newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs to the diplomatic community residing in Addis Ababa. On the occasion, Dr. Tewodros assured members of the community that Ethiopia would continue in its efforts to ensure peace and stability throughout East Africa.

In particular, he noted that Ethiopia would assiduously continue to do everything possible to help encourage peace and stability between the Republic of Sudan and the Republic of South Sudan and assist in strengthening the new Government in Somalia. Dr. Tedros also emphasized that along with its peace efforts, Ethiopia would continue to work on its economic diplomacy, which he describes as a hallmark of the country's foreign Policy.
