Lubango — The south regional coordinator of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), Paulo Mendes, this Saturday reiterated in the city of Lubango, central Huíla province, the permanent commitment of assisting in programmes in favour of the wellbeing of children.
Speaking at the presentation of provincial assessment of the activities carried out by this UN agency during the year 2012, in light of the implementation of the 11 commitments in favour of children, the official stressed that UNICEF will continue to provide the necessary technical assistance to the various sectors.
He said that there are enormous challenges and defended the joining of efforts in view of a successful fulfillment of all actions relating to children's education.
He reasserted the need for giving priority to children so that they can continue building the society in the future.
