Egypt: Sisi Follows Up Securing Referendum Polling Stations

General Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, the Minister of Defense and military production followed up the voting process on 15/12/2012 through the deployment of the Armed Forces elements which are taking part in securing voting stations in the governorates where the first phase of voting was held.

Moreover, Interior Minister Ahmed Gamal Eddin, inspected a number of voting stations where he was assured about the deployment of the security measures.

He said the existence of the Armed Forces is a strong message to assure the Egyptian citizens about voting. The voting process concurred with varying reactions by the political and party powers to the referendum on the constitution.
