Kenya: Youth Protest in Kariokor Over IDs
By Njeri Ngugi
Rioting youth have blocked roads in Kariokor and lit bonfires to demonstrate failure by the Ministry of Immigration to provide them with ID cards.
They say they may be locked out of the voter registration exercise because of lack of the cards. With the exercise set to end tomorrow thousands of youth without IDs will be locked out.
