Kenya: Al Shabaab Suspects Held in Mombasa

Police have in Mombasa have said the four terror suspects arrested in a bus at Mariakani area en-route to Mombasa from Nairobi are trained al Shabaab members who had sneaked into the country from Somalia.

Coast deputy provincial police boss Robert Kitur said the detectives had information that the four were part of a wide terrorism network planning attacks in Mombasa.

"Our officers are operating on highly placed intelligence reports of impending terror attacks in Mombasa and we have arrested suspects," said Kitur. Officers recovered a Ceska pistol from the suspects.

Police and intelligence sources reveals that Hamadi received paramilitary trainings including bomb making and was extensively involved in the operations of the Islamist terrorist organisation in Somalia.
