Volkswagen marked 60 years of its presence in Kenya on Tuesday evening at their showroom on Lusaka Road in Industrial Area, Nairobi. CMC hosted a cocktail for customers, partners and media with plans afoot to launch new models in the local market next year.
Volkswagen is the oldest brand of CMC and were the first models in the long CMC heritage. It boasts several brands selling in the Kenyan market which include the Passat popular with top government officials, Polo, Golf, CC, Tiguan, Toureg, Caddy, Amaraok and transporter. Present at the cocktail was CMC Holding CEO Bill Lay, VW managers Stephanie Falk and Mail Patwaldt among others.
