Luanda — The second consecutive win of national championship soccer first division, "Girabola" by Recreativo do Libolo of Kwanza Sul province and elections in the Angolan Football Federation (FAF) are the main highlights in 2012 season in the country.

After snatched the title last year for the first time, Recreativo do Libolo club remains as the third team from the country's inland to win a major trophy, joining 1º de Maio of Benguela and Sagrada Esperança of Lunda Norte.
