Ganda — A five-year old child died on Saturday in Ganda district, central Benguela province, victim of drowning in the local swimming-pool.

According to witnesses, the incident happened about 4 p.m in a time children and teenagers were swimming, and the victim was pushed by another minor into the swimming-pool.

The criminal investigation police has already checked crime scene.

The police commander of Ganda district, super-intendent Agostinho Cambeia, pointed out the negligence as the cause of the child's death because the adults did not take duly safety measures.
