Tunisia: President Marzouki Meets With Families of Revolution Martyrs and Wounded

Sidi Bouzid — President Moncef Marzouki met, on Monday in Sidi Bouzid, with several families of the martyrs and wounded of the Revolution.

During the meeting, these families requested, in particular, the abrogation of Decree N°97 which provides for the compensation of families of the Revolution martyrs and wounded, and called to urge the military courts to judge the guilty, grant special allowances to the wounded of the Revolution and strengthen the Sidi Bouzid hospital infrastructure.

President Marzouki announced, on the occasion, that the three ruling presidencies had allocated 450,000 dinars for the benefit of the families of the Revolution martyrs and wounded in the region, reminding that efforts are still being exerted to settle the issue.

Speaking of the hardships facing the Governorate of Sidi Bouzid, Mr. Marzouki stressed the will to help all regions of the country benefit of the development programmes.
