Namibia: Fishman Drops 'Ink & Water' in Style

Deal Done Records frontman Fishman Uulenga has dropped his highly anticipated album 'Ink & Water' in style during a show that also saw other artists from the same stable DD's Finest, Florita and Miss H also releasing their new CDs.

The event, which was billed for the Playhouse Theatre on Saturday, was not one of the best attended events of the year, but those who attended were treated to top class entertainment by the performing artists.

Guest artists like Oviritje star Diop, who joined Treble Seven Productions by award-winning producer Araffath Muhuure recently, entertained the crowd with his own unique concept of Oviritje music.

His two dancers also brought fun and energy to his performance and the former Ondarata Concert Group singer looks set for stardom with his catchy beats and excellent singing prowess.

S-Man proved one again that he is the big boss when it comes to Afrikaans Hip Hop with another sterling performance, following his fine showing at J-Bentley's album launch at Zenso Lounge the previous weekend.

His hit 'Nuwe Single' seems to have caught the imagination of music fans around the country.

DD's Finest took the opportunity to impress the crowd when they dished out a superb performance that was also very catchy.

It seems like the well-liked R&B Crew didn't lose any of their popularity and they signed off their act with a top class performance by their sizzling female dancers and singer. One can only expect this group to grow stronger with time.

Kwaito star Exit was next to show why he is considered as one of the country's top artists in his genre. The powerfully voiced artist who hails from Oshakati did not disappoint with a five-star performance that had the crowd screaming for more.

Exit and his dancers took charge of the stage performing songs from his album 'Judgement Day'. This album looks bound to produce a few more hits.

Then came the moment that the crowd was waiting for after the MC Lucy K announced Fishman's turn to come on stage.

The new album contains very strong songs that are going to auger well for the Kwaito star's quest to be one of the biggest hit makers of the next year.

I'm impressed by tracks like 'Return', 'Osenaana' featuring Sunny Boy, 'Fishmania' with M-Jay, 'Keumbo' featuring Star, 'My Girl' with Nguty Fruit', 'I Care' featuring the lyrical Exit, M-Jay and B Fresh and of course, 'Baby Don't Go' are the most impressive tracks on the 18-track album.

A must-have album which is definitely going to spice up the festive season. Definitely Fishman's best release to date.
