South Africa: Saharawi Delegation Attends 53rd ANC National Elective Conference

Bloemfontein — At an official invitation by the ANC, a Saharawi delegation attends procedures of the 53rd National Elective Conference of the South African National Congress (known as; ANC), taking place from 16th to 20th December 2012 in the city of Bloemfontein.

The delegation led by the Chief of POLISARIO Political Branches' Secretariat Mr. Khalil Sid Mhamed, and includes the Secretary General of Woman National Union Ms. Fatma Mehdi and the Ambassador to South Africa Mr. Salha Al-Abd.

The POLISARI Front and African National Congress are linked by historical relations dated to the 1970's, which stems from the common struggle between the two brotherly peoples, where the ANC has committed to defend the right of the Saharawi people to freedom and independence ever since.
