Morocco: Consciousness of World Peoples 'Unrelieved' As Western Sahara Under Occupation - Chilean Official

Algiers — "The consciousness of the peoples of the world will always be unrelieved as Western Sahara remains under the yoke of the Moroccan occupation," said the National Secretary of the Chilean Socialist Party, Mr. Tchito Gonzales.

Addressing the closing session of the international conference of Algiers on "people right to resistance; case of the Saharawi people", Mr. Gonzales said that Western Sahara issue "is urgent and acute. Consciousness of the peoples of the world will always be unrelieved as long as the Saharawi people under the yoke of Moroccan occupation."

He stressed that Moroccan regime oppression against the Saharawis is "inhuman and degrading, adding "if we do not act to put an end to this situation, so we are complicit in this barbarism."

"Morocco, which occupies the territories of Western Sahara, do spare any mean to commit barbarism, torture and flagrant violations against the dignified and courageous Saharawi people," he confirmed, adding "in spite of the suffering they face, at the end they win and achieve independence."
