Angola: Commander Hails FAA's Importance in Reconstruction

Namibe — The commander of the southern region army, brigadier Filipe Domingos Quicongo, highlighted on Monday in the south-east Namibe province, the importance of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) in the reconstruction of the country.

The brigadier said so in the ambit of the celebrations of the 21st founding anniversary of the Army.

According to him, the staff of the army has been complying effectively their duty, having given back to Angolans peace, freedom and right to decide their destiny.

He said that after the armed conflict, the army has a great responsibility to guarantee population's free circulation and safety.

The brigadier also praised the cooperation that militaries have been providing in the civil protection system, especially by helping in cases of natural calamities and accidents.
