Angola: Government Congratulates National Army On Anniversary

Cabinda — The government of the northern Cabinda province, through a message released on Monday, congratulates the National Army on its 21st founding anniversary, a branch of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), being marked on 17 December.

The message released to Angop reads that the provincial government of Cabinda, in the person of its governor Aldina da Lomba, encourages the national army to continue to defend the sovereignty and in the effort for keeping the national unit and reconciliation.

The note also reads that the increase of levels of academic, technical and professional training must follow up the day to day life of the staff, so as to continue to have an army capable to present conquests in the national and international context.

On 17 December in 1992, it was established the National Army and first steps were made for the creation and consolidation of the Unique National Army, under the framework of Bicesse peace agreement.
