Angola: FAA Staff Exhorted for Reflection On 20th Anniversary

Huambo — The commander of the "Herois de Kamgamba" soldiers instruction centre in the central military region, col. Martinho Camôngua, Monday in Huambo exhorted the staff of the Angolan Land Forces to reflect on the 20th anniversary of the army.

This, the officer added, is to guarantee the continued defence of the national territory.

Col. Martinho Camongua was addressing the ceremony of celebration of the 20th FAA anniversary in the region, on December 17, going with the theme "Army - strong and firm in the defence of the territorial integrity."

Col. Camongua also called on the staff to think over the importance of the defence of the motherland.

"For this reason, we think that the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the Land Forces shall not only translate into a feast, but as an occasion for a deep reflection, in order for us to maintain lit the spirit and foundation of the creation of an important premise in the strategic context of the national defence," he stated.

Col. Camôngua on the occasion highlighted the contribution of the Land Forces to the preservation of peace, unity and national harmony.
