Patrick Macharia from Thika is this week's Star Fantasy Football winner of Sh10,000. The freelance salesman says he used to play football in primary and secondary school but has since given up on it and he is a keen follower of the game both locally and internationally.

A staunch supporter of Chelsea, Macharia says he has supported the Stamford Bridge side for the last 13 years. He has kids in school and hopes, they will fulfil his dream of one day playing football at top level.

He finds the growing appeal of The Star refreshing. " The Star is gaining popularity very fast in my area and I personally feel it is up there with the seasoned competitors." Macharia, 39, wants to see more stories on Europa League in The Star.
