Kenya: Voter Registration Hits 12.7 Million Mark

The Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission has registered 12.7 million voters. IEBC is however optimistic that they may reach 13 million and above by the end of the exercise today.

Voter turnout stands at 71 per cent in the country. Nairobi is at the top with a 105 per cent turnout while Kiambu is second with 102 per cent.

Nyeri is third at 99 per cent while Lamu is tying in the fourth place with Kirinyaga at 95 per cent. Mandera is the last with 23 per cent while Turkana is second last at 30 per cent.
