Angola: MPLA Holds Third Extraordinary Provincial Conference

Caxito — The provincial committee of the ruling MPLA in Bengo Province will be gathered on Friday in its third extraordinary conference, ANGOP has learnt.

The meeting, which is to be chaired by the party's first secretary for Bengo, João Bernardo de Miranda, will assess the activities carried out in the ambit of last August 31 elections and the work of the provincial executive throughout the year 2012.

The delegates will analyse and approve the resolutions on the interruption of the mandate of some of the members of the party's provincial committee and the election of candidates to become members of the same committee.

The gathering will be supervised by the co-ordinator of the monitoring group for Bengo Province, Kundi Paihama, who is a member of the party's Politburo and Secretariat.
