Angola: 'Carácter' Group Wins Second Edition of Theatre Festival

Luanda — The arts group Carácter last Sunday at Kinta Amena, Viana Municipality, in Luanda, won the theatre festival organised from 1 to 16 December, with the play entitled "Anase".

According to a press release sent to ANGOP Tuesday, the play portrays behaviours, juvenile delinquency, domestic violence in Viana and aims at changing people's attitudes.

The festival happens at the end of each year, in the beginning of December, aiming at honouring theatre groups of the municipality for the work done during the year.

The festival had the participation of the groups Alei-mar, Leodith artes, Mbembua, Centro Cultural de Viana, Sewandala Bangaweno, Molofeca, and theatre groups from the provinces of Benguela and Bengo as invited guests.
