Kenya: Kibaki Raila Broke Law in Appointment of Deputy Inspector

Police: President Mwai Kibaki and PM Raila Odinga faulted on police appointent (file photo).

One of the deputy inspector of police should be a woman according to section 14 of the national police service act. IPOA chairman Njeru Macharia says the two principles broke the law by nominating only men as deputies,and should reverse the appointment to comply with the law.
