Tunisia: European Parliament Chief Visits Nation

European Parliament President Martin Schulz will arrive in Tunisia on Tuesday (December 18th). The purpose of his two-day official visit is to reaffirm support for democratic reforms in the country, the parliamentary press office said.

Talks with President Moncef Marzouki, Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali, Constituent Assembly Chairman Mustapha Ben Jaafar, members of the opposition and civil society representatives will focus on EU-Tunisia relations and regional issues of mutual interest.
