Two people have died while four have sustained serious injuries in a road traffic accident on Ndola-Kabwe Road near Tug Argan Barracks.

Copperbelt police chief Mary Tembo said the accident happened on Monday, around 10:30 hours, after a Mitsubishi bus, registration number ACT 4835, and a Toyota Carina, number ACT 3275, collided.

The deceased have been identified as Choloka Midi and Male Tembo of Tug Argan Barracks while the four who sustained injuries were Samuel Phiri, a soldier, and the driver of the Carina, Moses Banda of Chifubu Township.

Others were Omara Salime, 34, of Kanini and Winfriday Mwanza, 25, of Tag Argun.

Ms Tembo said the bus lost control and hit into the car.
