Tanzania: Ethiopian Airlines Signs Deal With Tourist Board

Ethiopian Airlines has signed a two-year Memorandum of Understanding with the Tanzania Tourist Board in Kilimanjaro, aimed to increase the number of visitors to both countries.

The MoU will enable Ethiopian Airlines to develop programs and packages with Tanzanian tour operators in both countries. According to the agreement, Ethiopian Airlines will have responsibility for providing familiarization programs for Tanzanian trade and media businesses, as well as facilitating seat reservations on Ethiopian flights for Tanzanian tour operators. The MoU was signed between Dr. Alyoce Nzuki of the Tanzanian Tourist Board, and Ato Hailemelekot Mamo, Sales Representative of Ethiopian Airlines.

Dr. Nzuki said that Ethiopian Airlines currently provided a considerable number of flights to Tanzania's three major gateways (Dar es Salaam, Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar) but the new joint promotion agreement would expand "the already strong partnerships that we have with Ethiopian Airlines especially in the North American market."
