Sudan: Ambush and Looting Near Tarma

Tarma — A pro-government militia reportedly looted two vehicles carrying merchandise and passengers in the area of Jemmeiza near Tarma, as it was traveling from Kabkabiya to El- Fasher via Kutum in North Darfur on Tuesday, 18 December. The militants reportedly threatened all who tried to object at gunpoint.

Witness recounted to Radio Dabanga that the militants looted all the passengers' properties including mobiles and even the shoes they were wearing. They added that the armed militias used two land Cruiser cars and (8) motorcycles and chased people who tried to escape from the looting operation.
