Uganda's President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni yesterday arrived in Rwanda to attend today's 25th anniversary of Rwandese Patriotic Front (RPF).

Museveni, the chairman of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) landed at Kigali International Airport late afternoon.

He was received by Foreign Affairs Minister, Louise Mushikiwabo and other government officials as well as diplomats from the two countries.

More guests representing different political parties invited for the celebrations were expected to arrive last evening, including the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Other parties from Burundi, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Mozambique, Eritrea, and South Africa are expected to attend the function at Amahoro National Stadium.

The ruling RPF-Inkotanyi was established in 1987 and came to power after defeating the genocidal regime in 1994, consequently stopping the Genocide against the Tutsi, which had already claimed a million lives.
