Angola: Head of State Gets Message From Malian Counterpart

Luanda — Angolan Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, received this Wednesday here a message from the acting President of Mali, Dioncounda Traore, whose content was not disclosed by the latter's special envoy, Tiébilé Dramé.

After the audience, held at the Presidential Palace, Tiébilé Dramé informed that the Malian authorities are pleased with the international mobilisation aimed at helping Mali to solve the country's political and military crisis.

Last March, Tuareg rebels occupied Timbuktu, the last city in the north of Mali, which was under the control of the government's army, after the military coup leaders having stated that they are ready to cede power.
