Fans of Super Eagles striker, Peter Osaze Odemwingie may be disappointed when the list of foreign based players for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations camping would be released as coach Stephen Keshi says he is yet to know whether or not the West Brom striker would be available.
Speaking yesterday in Abuja, the coach said there has been no communication between him and the striker, but as long as his list of 23 players for the championship is not yet drawn, anything can still happen.
Coach Keshi however heaped praises on Fengor Ogude whom he said has sacrificed his holiday to honour the team's invitation adding that he wished he had at least fifty percent of his holidaying players in camp.
"Fengor has been good in the training sessions.
He is calm and focused. I appreciate him for taking off his time from his holiday to join us in training. In fact his wife just gave birth yesterday but he is here and this is commitment. It is wonderful. If I can get fifty per cent of my players on holiday now, it would be great".
On whether Odemwingie who is also expecting his wife to put to bed any moment from now has taken permission to report to camp later than December 29, the coach said: "Well let's see what happens. We cannot discuss that at the moment.
"We have not spoken. Let him call me first. He has not talked to me about it. We shall find out if he is going to come in on time or not. We haven't drawn the list. We are still drawing it and we don't even know who is on the list. Let's wait until Tuesday to know who is on the list", he explained.
