THE fate of Zanzibar players who features with the national team Taifa Stars and Mainland Premier League clubs, but have been slapped with an indefinite ban by the Zanzibar Football Association (ZFA), will be determined by the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) Disciplinary and Reconciliation Committee.
TFF Information Officer, Boniface Wambura said that the federation has received a letter from ZFA, regarding the action that has been taken against the Zanzibar Heroes players, who are accused of sharing out prize money bestowed to the Isles side for a third-place finish at this year's CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup.
"This issue has been forwarded to the Disciplinary and Reconciliation Committee for further action. Nothing concrete has been decided so far," he said, without making public when the committee will convene.
Zanzibar players who are currently engaged with Taifa Stars, while they have been slapped with a ban are Nassoro Masoud 'Chollo', Nadir Haroub 'Canavaro', assistant Taifa Stars skipper Aggrey Morris and Samih Nuhu as well attacking midfielder Mcha Khamis.
