Tunisia: Elyes Fakhfakh, New Finance Minister

Tunis — Mr. Elyes Fakhfakh, from Ettakatol Party, has been appointed, on Wednesday, by Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali as Finance Minister. He will carry on "for the time being" his duty at the head of the Tourism Ministry, a communiqué of the Prime Ministry announced.

The Prime Ministry had entrusted Secretary of State to Finance Slim Besbes with the position of caretaker Finance Minister, following Mr. Houcine Dimassi's resignation, on July 27,2012.

This is the first Cabinet reshuffle since entry in office of Government, on December 22, 2011.
