Angola: Governor Calls for Effective Resolution of Energy and Water Problems

Menongue — The governor of the south-eastern Kuando Kubango province, Higino Carneiro called for the Ministry of Energy and Water's intervention to address the concern in the sector with a view to ending the consumers plights.

The official said so during a meeting with the minister of Energy and Water, João Baptista Borges, as part of the minister's two-day visit to the region intended to check the sector.

According to him, Kuando Kubango faces greater problems in the fields of energy and water in all districts and communes.

He added that this happens due to the fact that the current systems do not respond to demand and not even the organisation needed to provide a service that meets the required high quality standards.
